STUDENT MINISTRY

(MIDDLE / HIGH SCHOOL)

THE PURPOSE OF WOODLAWN STUDENT MINISTRY IS TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL TO STUDENTS, INVITING THEM TO PUT THEIR FAITH IN THE FINISHED WORK OF JESUS CHRIST. OUR HOPE IS THAT THEIR LIVES WOULD GROW IN CONFORMITY TO JESUS AND THAT THEY WOULD BE EQUIPPED TO GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES.

Everything we do begins with God’s Word and points students to the hope of the Gospel. Our priority is helping teens know Christ, follow Him wholeheartedly, and learn how to live out their faith. Our youth group is designed just for that—to be a place where:

The gospel is proclaimed. Through teaching God's Word, students will be invited to trust in Christ alone for their salvation.

Growth happens genuinely. Leaders and volunteers will help students live out their faith with confidence and clarity.

Fun meets service and faith. We will schedule retreats, service projects, and gatherings that engage both heart and mind while building relationships within the church.

Growing disciples who make disciples. Students learn to follow Christ more closely and engage in discipling others, discovering their God-given gifts and developing as Christlike leaders.

We look forward to meeting new students and are grateful for the privilege of engaging their lives for the sake of Christ!

Sundays

Sunday School

Our student Sunday school class is meant to challenge middle and high school students with deep lessons on different passages of Scripture or theological topics. After learning about God and His Word we split off into small groups divided by gender and age to apply God's word through discussion.

BIBLE STUDY

On Wednesday nights our students have the opportunity to participate in a worship service designed specifically for them. This is a time when students can worship God with their peers, founding their community upon knowledge and worship of God.
