COUNSELING

THE PURPOSE OF THE COUNSELING MINISTRY AT WOODLAWN BAPTIST CHURCH IS TO USE SCRIPTURE TO REVEAL THE NEED FOR REPENTANCE AND TO REALIGN, IN LOVE, THE SINFUL HUMAN HEART TO THE TRUTH OF HOPE FOUND IN GOD'S WORD.

Life can be overwhelming—loss, transitions, relational struggles, or spiritual doubts don’t just affect the mind; they touch the heart of your faith. If you’re looking for guidance that respects both your emotional and spiritual needs, our Counseling Ministry is built to walk with you through those challenges.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • A compassionate listening space rooted in faith.
Our pastoral counselors offer a safe, confidential place to explore what’s heavy on your heart—whether it's anxiety, grief, or major life transitions.

  • Biblical guidance through scripture, prayer, and real-life healing.
This isn’t just therapy. It’s healing informed by biblical truth, woven with prayer and spiritual direction.

  • Support tailored to your life situation.
Whether you’re wrestling with grief, parenting challenges, marriage stress, faith questions, or simply seeking spiritual growth, we’re here for you.

  • Belonging to a community that heals together.
You’re not just talking to one person—you’re entering into a caring community committed to your healing.

Why this matters:

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”Galatians 6:2

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”Psalm 147:3
