WBC Membership Process

If you have been worshipping with us as a guest, we are so grateful for the time you have chosen spend with us and would love to talk with you about church membership!

Our membership process has two goals: 1) To learn about and affirm each candidate's faith in Christ and 2) To ensure each candidate shares our beliefs concerning the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. These goals are typically accomplished through 2-3 meetings with a WBC elder where they will discuss personal testimonies and the WBC Statement of Faith. These meetings are very flexible in terms of time and place.

If you would like to begin the membership process by scheduling your first membership meeting please call the church office or email Justin Morehead - justin@wbclowell.com .

Covenant Membership

The faithful Christian life requires a committed, invested, and loving relationship with a local body of believers, or church membership. Church membership is the way a Christian gains accountability and support as they seek to faithfully love and worship God. Like marriage, the covenant relationship that exists between church members is designed by God as a way to show the gospel to the onlooking world. These relationships should demonstrate grace, mercy, charity, forgiveness, submission, trust, and sacrificial love (to name just a few things). In good times and bad times, in sickness and in health, a good church member is more concerned with their faithfulness than with what they stand to gain.
